A Dreamy Spring Wedding at Sheepdrove Farm

It was a beautiful spring day for Emily and Jacob’s wedding, with bluebells in bloom and Sheepdrove Farm looking its absolute best in the sunshine. They celebrated their day across the grounds of Sheepdrove, making the most of everything the venue has to offer — from their ceremony in the Oak Room to dinner and speeches in the restaurant. It was the perfect blend of spaces, and a wonderful reflection of why I always love working at Sheepdrove Farm.

Bridal Prep at the Lake House

I joined Emily and her bridal party at the Lake House for the morning, and it was my first time documenting bridal prep in this location — it didn’t disappoint. The backdrop was breathtaking, and the excitement in the room was so lovely to walk into. Once Emily had finished her hair and makeup, she shared some thoughtful gifts with her bridal party — a really special moment to document,. Emily chose to do her own makeup, (and looks so beautiful) and before long it was time to get changed, capture a few portraits, and share a first look with her dad before heading up to the ceremony.

An Intimate Ceremony in the Oak Room

Their ceremony took place in the grand Oak Room, led by a close family friend, which made it feel incredibly personal. Emily and Jacob sat surrounded by beautiful florals as they listened to a few meaningful readings, before exchanging vows and officially becoming husband and wife. Just before the ceremony came to an end, Jacob’s brother played a stunning piece of music on the cello — such a moving and memorable way to finish.

Confetti with Fresh Petals in the Spring Sunshine

Confetti always deserves a moment of its own, and this confetti line was long, joyful, and full of energy. Fresh flower petals felt perfect for a spring wedding at Sheepdrove Farm, and the moment was beautifully chaotic — made even more special by Emily’s grandparents joining in and throwing confetti themselves. It was pure magic.

Couple Portraits Around the Sheepdrove Farm Grounds

Afterwards, we snuck away together to the Lake House for some couple portraits on the jetty, before wandering around the grounds. This is always such a lovely pause in the day — a chance for couples to take it all in and realise they’ve just become Mr and Mrs. We then made the most of the bluebell woodland, perfectly timed during spring, capturing some gorgeous portraits of Emily and Jacob surrounded by bluebells.

Dinner, Speeches and Celebrations at Sheepdrove Farm

Guests enjoyed exploring the grounds during the drinks reception before being invited to take their seats for dinner. Emily and Jacob made their entrance down the stairs — an iconic moment — greeted by cheers from their loved ones. The room was filled with warmth and excitement as speeches began, each one emotional, heartfelt, and full of love.

Golden Hour Portraits at Sheepdrove Farm

Before the evening of dancing began, the evening light was perfect for some golden hour photos, this time of evening even without a golden sunset is so much softer, and is a perfect chance to explore more of what Sheepdrove has to offer. With Emily now in her evening shoes, it was the perfect opportunity to practice their first dance and have a few sweet moments together before the evening of dancing began!

Ceilidh Dancing and Evening Celebrations

After we snuck off for ten minutes, everyone gathered on the dance floor for traditional ceilidh dancing, which got everyone involved and was so much fun to capture. Jacob and his father then surprised their guests by playing the violin together as everyone danced — such a special and joyful touch to their evening.

After a chance for everyone to cool off from all the dancing, Emily and Jacob cut their cake, before sharing their official first dance. This led into an evening filled with laughter, dancing, and continued celebrations.

This was such a dreamy day to be part of - thank you Emily and Jacob for trusting me to capture your day!
