Frankie & Tony's Joyful Summer Wedding in Manchester

My first Manchester wedding, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. From a beautiful church ceremony to colourful confetti and all-round joyful vibes, Frankie and Tony’s day was an absolute dream to photograph. From the moment they booked me, I knew it was going to be a fab day. Their wedding was the perfect blend of tradition while still being completely them — relaxed, personal, and full of fun. It was so special to be part of, and I can’t wait to share a glimpse into their stunning Manchester wedding day.

Bridal Prep on the Morning of Their Manchester Wedding

I joined Frankie in the morning as she got ready with her bridal party. I focused on capturing detail shots of her beautiful flowers and dress — carefully kept hidden, as only her mum and sister had seen it beforehand. Once Frankie’s hair was finished, it was time for her to step into her dress. Her veil was honestly one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen — it matched her dress perfectly and suited her so well. Then it was time for first looks, which were incredibly special to capture. We took a few portraits in the garden with her girls and her mum before heading off to the church to get married.

A Beautiful Church Ceremony in Manchester

Their Manchester wedding ceremony took place in the most beautiful church. The vicar was the loveliest man and brought such warmth and humour to the service — something you don’t often see — instantly putting everyone at ease. The light during the ceremony was a photographer’s dream, soft and glowing, making it a joy to document such an emotional moment.

Confetti Celebrations Outside the Church

After the ceremony, it was time for confetti. Guests lined up outside the church, ready to celebrate Frankie and Tony. They chose paper confetti — always a personal favourite of mine because it flutters so beautifully — and their confetti walk was wonderfully chaotic, exactly how it should be. After confetti, we captured a big group photo before everyone made their way to the reception for drinks and canapés.

Relaxed Couple Portraits Before the Celebrations Began

Before the celebrations began, we snuck a few portraits of Frankie and Tony together on the church steps. They looked incredible, and it was such a joy to capture those quiet moments with them. I didn’t keep them long before they joined their family and friends so the celebrations could really begin.

A Garden Drinks Reception on a Summer’s Day

Their drinks reception took place in Frankie’s mum’s garden, with caterers serving delicious canapés. It was a lovely summer’s day, so everyone enjoyed being outside — shoes came off, drinks were flowing, and it felt like the perfect relaxed start to their celebrations. Later, guests jumped in taxis and headed over to Bowden Rooms for dinner and dancing.

The Bowden Rooms Beautifully Decorated

Bowden Rooms was beautifully decorated and ready for the evening celebrations. The tables were arranged to allow space for dancing later on, and Frankie’s flowers were dotted throughout the room using the same blooms from her bouquet — a lovely detail that tied everything together. It felt cosy yet summery, and so welcoming.

Dinner and Dancing at Bowdon Rooms in Manchester

Once everyone had found their seats, Frankie and Tony entered the room to a huge cheer from their family and friends. Before dinner, it was time for speeches — beautifully written, emotional, and full of laughter and happy tears.

Time to Dance at the Bowdon Rooms

After the feast, dancing soon followed. Their band was incredible and had everyone on the dance floor straight away, setting the tone for an evening full of energy and celebration. It was such a joy to be part of this Manchester wedding, from start to finish.

I’m grateful every day that I get to capture such amazing weddings. Thank you, Frankie and Tony, for trusting me to photograph your day — it was truly an honour.
